Publishers who subscribe to Edelweiss Analytics receive Daily Sales at the Trade Indies emails, which show aggregated sales of your books at all of the indie stores that send us daily POS data (over 500 stores) via their own Edelweiss Analytics subscriptions. These emails allow you to immediately see how your new hot titles are doing even before any bestseller lists come out. They show both weekly and daily sales, giving you the information you need to take action on a hot title now.
Frequency:
Emailed report, sent once daily to an email list defined by the publisher
Format:
Includes three HTML formatted reports in the body of the email message, and an attached Excel file.
Email:
The top titles in three groupings are formatted in the body of the email for a quick view of activity. They are ranked based on the aggregated units sold in the last 7 days. You’ll see a quick rundown of your top 20 selling titles in three categories: titles published within the last 3 months, titles published 3-9 months ago, and older backlist. Note that these are actual sales numbers – not just direct order numbers or estimates.
- Top 20 Frontlist Titles: Titles published within the last 3 months
- Top 20 of your Recent Backlist: titles published 3-9 months ago
- Top 20 Deeper Backlist: Older titles, published more than 9 months ago
Excel
The Excel file will likely include more titles in a single list. It will show any of your titles that have sold in the last two weeks, ranked by sales in the last 7 days. This allows you to import the data to track longer term trends, or to just sort filter and search more easily. Any of your titles with at least one sale in the last two weeks will be included in this Excel file.
